About The Forum Athletic Club
The Forum Athletic Club is a popular destination, with a small but busy space that can be overwhelming at times. The atmosphere is lively, with loud music playing during tours and classes. While the equipment is great, there are some drawbacks to consider. The lights may be turned off briefly before closing, which can be a safety concern. Additionally, the rooms for classes have turf that can be sticky and wet, and the equipment may not be fully cleaned after use. However, the instructors are attentive and knowledgeable, and the gym has a fun and welcoming atmosphere. It's worth noting that members are expected to bring their own lock for lockers and a mat and towel for hygiene purposes.
I went to get a tour of the place and I couldn’t even hear what the guy was saying because the music was extremely loud. He suggested we move to the front to discuss pricing and such but it was still super loud. I decided to tour myself since I couldn’t hear him. The lack of wanting to recruit more people was astonishing to me. No effort. I went at 11am on a Thursday and it was very busy considering how small the space is. I was going to do a trial but couldn’t stand the amount of people/ loud music so I left after 5min of being there. It was overwhelming.
I can make do with the small space and there not being a completely full-array of equipment. I cannot make do with the lights being turned off for an extended amount of time right before close. It is dangerous and could very easily get someone hurt. GREAT for the location, though.
I have attended 2 free for members classes and one paid fast twitch class. I will say the fast twitch instructor was amazing and really made sure everyone was well attended. The free class felt a bit like free classes but that's ok. The gym has great equipment and it's a fun atmosphere the one drawback is the room where classes are held has turf and it's sticky and kinda wet. The equipment has sweat stains on it so I will be buying full gloves for classes. Otherwise it's got everything you would need just remember you need your own lock for lockers and bring a mat and towel to stay hygienic if that a concern.
