About LA Fitness
LA Fitness provides excellent amenities at great value, including state-of-the-art equipment, basketball, group fitness classes, a pool, saunas, and personal training. Recently, this location underwent a complete makeover and full renovations, making it feel like a new facility. Customers appreciate the efficient and friendly service when setting up memberships. Melissa, who manages facilities operations, is doing an outstanding job, especially in maintaining the cleanliness of the locker room. Many visitors find this location cleaner than other franchises, with weights organized and machines wiped down. While the equipment quality is generally high, some cardio machines may still be out of order, and the men's locker room needs some TLC. Issues like broken sinks and lockers have been noted, as well as the need for better upkeep. Overall, LA Fitness is a community-focused gym that promotes health and motivation among its members, and many long-time members are happy with the renovations, especially the addition of machines for training glutes. The staff continues to greet customers warmly, enhancing the gym experience.
Management and staff are friendly enough, but you can tell there isn't much care being put into upkeeping the space. A few points:
- The HEAT. The air is always warm when you enter the gym, no matter the time of year. It seems to be a combination of undersized fans, weak ventilation, the space being packed with machines and people, and the temperature simply not being kept low enough.
- The gym floor always feels dirty and doesn't seem to be cleaned often enough.
- Some machines are slightly broken or missing attachments (e.g., cable machines missing certain bars).

The gym is fine if you’re just looking to workout and leave. My biggest complaint is that it seems no one here has any sort of basic gym etiquette. Virtually no one re-racks their plates or wipes down the equipment after they’re done and there is only 1 tiny paper sign trying to enforce it.
COMPLETE MAKEOVER, FULL RENOVATIONS completed here in Spring 2025. If you've been here before, you won't recognize this gym. It's basically a new facility. Excellent job, LA Fitness, renovating this location.
