“This funeral home is owned by Mr. and Mrs. Wimby, their daughter, and extended and family members. I met Marcus in high school 50 years ago, and had no idea that he became a mortician until approximately 11 years ago, when I needed to get something notarized. Since I was close to the Fourth Ward Area, I knew that I could find a notary at a funeral home. I chose to go to Haugabrooks Funeral Home, where Iwas warmly greeted by the Wimbys' daughter,who told me that she would get her dad to help me. Much to my surprise, my classmate, Marcus, was who she got. Based on the standards of, high scholastic achievement, combined with a work ethic. that presented us with the necessary tools to succeed in any professional capacity we chose, while we attended high school together, combined with th Wimbys' humble demeanor, I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone in need of their services. When my parents married in 1949, they soon established a business relationship with Hines Homes of Funeral, which was originally located at Piedmont Avenue and Pine Streets. Thiis the funeral home our family has used, then and still does, for our immediate needs.
