“I couldn't be happier. I heard some sounds of critters scurrying through my attic soffits a few times, or so I assumed. I called three companies. The first guy went up on my roof and found a loose screen at the bottom of the gutter at an inside corner. He said squirrels were getting in there. He said he could put a one way trap there for two weeks, then fix the screen. After tapping on his phone for a while, he said it would cost $679. He immediately said he could go lower. I've never had an estimator say that. Just give me the lower price. The second guy sounded goofy on the phone and didn't show up when promised. And, then there was Zach. He was on time after sending a text letting me know he was on his way. As soon as we started talking, I felt comfortable with him. He was personable and obviously smart. He asked me if I might have heard the sound in the gutters rather than the soffits in the attic. Maybe so, I said. After clear explanations of how animals can get into the attic by chewing around a gap that exists between the attic and gutters, he went into the attic. He looked for any signs of animals and inspected my gutters. He found some signs of mice and maybe rat snakes, but nothing else. He said the gutter gaps were wrapped in metal so chewing was unlikely. His recommendation was for him to do nothing. I could ask my pest control company to deal with the mice as most have that on their contracts. Mine does. My wife and I don't care about any rat snakes that might be up there. They are our friends. Zach and I had a very pleasant conversation about life and he left. I learned that Zach has been in Athens for a good while and is married to an Athens native. It's good to work with someone with an established family who has a long term stake in the community. I could not have a stronger recommendation.“
