“I earned a black belt in Tae Kwon Do as a teenager, but as the constraints of college, career and family began to appear, I lost touch with the art. However, thinking back on how meaningful martial arts was to me, and how great it was for stress release and confidence, I decided to restart my training last year after a 36-year break.
