“We initially engaged Family Home Care to provide medication and shower assistance to our Dad. My sister and I were looking to partner with a service to help us provide for our Dad’s needs and to truly care for him. We wanted to find a team who shared our goals for his care, both working and communicating with us. From our first call, Shawnta was able to schedule the services we needed around Dad’s schedule.

Having the meds/shower assistance while Dad was doing well was invaluable to us. While all 3 ladies who assisted were great, Loretta is getting a special shout-out. Loretta truly cared about Dad, personally. She connected with him every day in a positive manner, always trying to encourage him, no matter how he was feeling. She also cared about my sister and me, and she went above and beyond every day trying to assist our family. She communicated well with Dad and with us.

After returning home from a hospitalization, we quickly realized Dad needed 24 hour care. Once again, Shawnta was able to provide a caregiver who arrived in just a few hours. For the better part of 2 months, we used caregiver services for 12 – 24 hours per day. Our caregivers provided not only for Dad’s safety, but assisted with meds, showers, meals, laundry and housekeeping. During this time, we met a number of wonderful people and having this care allowed my sister and me more peace of mind during the hours we were unable to be with Dad.
