Our oldest started at age 7 and is now 13 and a second-degree black belt. Our nephew is also a second-degree black belt, and our two younger kids are currently blue belts. They truly enjoy going to classes every week. To us, this is our second family and the kids learn so much more than taekwondo. “I do really love the values and the exercises they teach. Especially for my son (3 years old) who hasn't been to daycares or school yet. he's gaining more of a voice instead of baby babbles, whining, and crying. He's asking with respect "can I please", Listening a little more immediately.
It's definitely something worth checking out. I think with sports that forces them into a particular set of skills. Martial arts, at least at these very beginning levels, is all about listening, setting example, basic body movements, and healthy activity, some self defense tactics, and just being a good human.“
