I could not be more thankful to have spent four days as a patient at Advent Health Hospital in Winter Garden. I entered as a patient in the emergency department and was admitted for surgery and remained until initial recovery was complete. Every step of the way I was made as comfortable as I can imagine, and even more so by such a wonderful staff. Kristen, the ED nurse, Melissa and Afua nurses, Jayden & Sada nurse techs were exceptionally helpful and kind and made me feel everything was taken care of efficiently. I was brought in due to a head injury. I don’t remember much about the ambulance journey or my care whilst in the intensive care unit. However, I do remember receiving two infusions of morphine. My care whilst in the intensive care unit, as far as I’m concerned, was great. I was transferred to a ward and from there on, I was treated wonderfully. However, not quite sure who chose scrambled eggs for breakfast because by the time I got it, it was freezing cold yuck!! 😜
Everyone was so nice. The systascope is something nobody should have to go through. It's a cruel, barbaric torture. The lidocaine is almost worst. There needs to be a better way.
