DrJuan Carlos Muniz has done an outstanding job treating my Mom's seizures. He took her seriously despite her psych issues, promptly ordered the appropriate tests, and adjusted her treatment. My Mom had seen a few Neurologists over the years and was having roughly three seizures a day. After starting with Dr Muniz, maybe one seizure a year. I highly recommend him. The office is on top of their game and is as efficient as he is.
I am not doubting the competence. They did back surgery and helped me. The bedside manner could highly improve. I had to complain in my past about the dr being very loud and complaining about patients down the hallway along with him airing his disapproval of my medications from other doctors. Additionally, every time I am in there they mention my weight which I’m very aware of and working on. They almost make me feel guilty to tell them the real symptoms I have. My largest concern is competence but expect some large issues with bed side manner. I find some people difficult to talk to there.
I had a rough start with Dr Hernandez-Frau’s office after the 1st visit but over a year later I am still here and a patient who is getting better everyday. I was diagnosed with severe migraines from auto accidents that interfere daily. I found out one day it was my pharmacy who was messing up my dispense dates and not the Dr when it came time for Rx refills. I figured it out and switched the pharmacy and no issues since. Don’t give up on your health because of one mistake or delay of a human being. Your patience affects your health outcome as well.
