“When our sweet 17 year old cat became ill, we called Cat Hospital of Vero Beach as a less stressful place for her. We could not have found a more calming environment with more caring people. From our first visit, Dr. Gambella calmed our baby with her soothing voice and touch, while giving us thorough information and answering our questions with patience and honesty. Unfortunately, we soon had to make the painful decision to let our baby go. With gentle guidance from Dr. Gambella during our cat's final moments, this heartbreaking time felt safe and loving. We were given as much time as we needed to spend with our sweet girl in private. We will be forever grateful to Dr. Gambella. “Dr. Herman and his current staff (John and Carrie) are amazing. I can always get an appointment quickly. He has solved my cat's stomach issues within a few minutes of an appointment and two other vets blamed her food or allergies. They also gave advice for when we intergrated my wife's cat. My cat is a very stubborn cat. She now lets them do the injections and others without fighting back and he respects her aggression limit. We also got a mostly blind and deaf dog they treat so well and he even came back from his house to look at him since we were leaving town the day we got him. He told us the pros and cons of being a senior dog and with the problems he had.

Shaggy: Long Story: Thanks the the BP owner in Lakewood Park, she posted and found the original owner who gave up him up to us after the day went by. We came back from close to Orlando to get him and she told us his story. We called and told the office and John/Carrie got him and he told us he would meet us there. He took a very long time looking and treating him. After he told us that Shaggy needed a detailed cleaning and he would do pre tests to make sure he was okay. He explained how taking an elder dog was noble and be aware he may have a short time and long time. We decided to keep him and still no regrets. He did the cleaning. He also addressed the bump on his head. After a while, the bump became infected and he went over the warnings of giving him light medications. We did it and he is recovering great. The lady who gave him up wanted him back, so the vet office gave me advice and what she was required to do. We no longer hear from her.

Overall, great doctor and staff. We have been using him for 10 plus years. I am always happy with their service and recommendations.“

Not long after, I unexpectedly came across two newborn kittens who were in immediate need of care. I called St. Francis Animal Hospital after hearing such great things, and they were incredible from the very first phone call. They were genuinely invested in helping the kittens, got me in the same day, and even walked me through feeding instructions to follow in the meantime.

Since that day, I’ve brought all of my cats to St. Francis and have consistently received friendly, prompt, and compassionate care from Dr. Lisa and her veterinary team. Julia at the front desk is truly a wonderful asset to the practice. She is organized, welcoming, and always so personable. I recommend St. Francis to anyone looking for care for their fur baby!“
