“I just want to say Thank you so much truly for everything. We cannot say enough wonderful things about Holly and the care she showed our family during one of the most heartbreaking experiences of our lives.
We had to make arrangements for our daughter, and there truly are no words to describe how difficult that experience was. From the very beginning, Holly was incredibly caring, compassionate, patient, and personable. She never made us feel like we were just another family going through the process. She made us feel heard, understood, and genuinely cared for.
We also had to bring our other three children with us, which made an already incredibly difficult experience even harder. Holly could have simply focused on us and the arrangements, but instead, she made our children feel so welcomed and comfortable. She had coloring activities ready for them, spent time with them, talked with them, and made them feel like they belonged there. That meant more to us than I could ever properly put into words.
Our children still talk about Holly and remember that time. That is something that will stay with me forever. During one of the saddest moments our family has ever experienced, she somehow created a little bit of warmth and comfort for all of us—including our children. She didn’t just care for us as grieving parents; she cared for our family.
There was something so comforting about the way Holly spoke with us and handled everything. She treated our daughter with so much dignity, gentleness, and respect, and she treated us with a level of compassion that I will never forget. She made an unbearable experience feel just a little less overwhelming.
I still think about Holly often. She became a small but very meaningful part of our grief journey, and I honestly don’t think she realizes just how much her kindness meant to us. When you are going through the unimaginable loss of your child, you remember the people who show up for you with genuine compassion. Holly is one of those people for our family.
We will forever be grateful that she was the person who walked alongside us during such a heartbreaking time. Thank you, Holly, for caring for our daughter, for caring for our children, and for caring for all of us when we needed kindness the most.
