We have a wellness plan with them and a senior dog. We decided to try to board our dog with them, and they said we had to do a test visit and get an influenza vaccine first. So, we did that and then they said we had to pay for gabapentin because our dog was anxious so to bring him back the next day for another test visit. So, we did that only for them to decline our dog being able to be boarded with them. It would have been helpful if they hadn't had us pay for the vaccine knowing there could be a chance they would decline our dog staying there. Granted we pay for a wellness plan with them only for that particular vaccine to not be covered and for our dog to not even be able to be boarded with them. You don't get people to pay for unnecessary items when you know upfront there's a high possibility you aren't going to be able to complete the services they are asking for to begin with. It would have been better if they had allowed us to have the test visit and then proceed from there if our dog was going to stay with them OR just simply say up front that they likely could refuse the dog so just go elsewhere if we aren't wanting to get a vaccine unnecessarily that isn't required elsewhere. Then after I explained to them that it's too much of a burden for us to have the individuals we normally do to come watch him because his needs have gotten so high, their solution was still just to have someone come and sit him at home -- we already have done that and he's past that stage now. Then after explaining that in his crate at home he's not anxious (he's blind), they proceed to just tell me that oh well, he keeps going in circles and bumping his head, perhaps you could put some padding around him at home --- HE'S NOT DOING THAT AT HOME - good solution for if he were staying with you all - perhaps you all could have tried that since you are offering solutions.

I've been coming here about 9 or so months now and I want to say I love the personal feeling I get from this office even though there are many vets here. Example being I took my dog to a ER vet one day and they sent the visit information here, to my primary vet, and they called the next day asking how my dog was doing and if I needed anything from them. Same thing when my dog needed to see a special eye vet. I scheduled a procedure with the eye vet, and the next day I get a text asking how everything went with it from tampa vet. I just refilled a prescription for the 1st time and I was able to submit that request online with no issues. The staff has always been very lovely, the vets are knowledgeable, to the point (in a good way), kind and I feel the prices are very fair personally.

Stephanie at the front desk is always super friendly, and the tech Miguel was wonderful! He was so kind and had no problems handling my leopard gecko Atlas. Dr. Gosnell was also great and I’m so thankful to have somewhere I can bring Atlas and know he will receive great care!

My dog has seen them for major problems, for checkups, and just for things like nail clipping and baths. They always do a great job. I also recommend their boarding service, if you have to leave your dog for a few days.

I took my cat to Tampa Veterinary Hospital to obtain a vaccination and certification to take her to Spain. Miranda and the doctors were so kind and knowledgeable. The paperwork, which is quite extensive, was executed perfectly. The cat is now happily living in Spain. I remarked to my wife that if we were staying in the Tampa area, I would use Tampa Veterinary Hospital as our vet. Great experience and thank you to the staff!

Also, it is often a problem in your clinic that I need to repeat treatments. Please check if my dog’s records are in your system and make sure the doctor has all information saved.
