Progressively going downhill. 3 days to read a chest CT now? Really Moffitt, do better. The turnover at this entire facility is alarming. Quality is going straight downhill now. To big, to fast...

It's a shame when more than one nurse agrees that if I wasn't a black woman, the physicians would not be moving my medications around. But God will see me through this!!!! 🖤😎☕ #HealthcareDisparities #MedicalRacism #Implicitbias #MoffittCancerCenter

I've been a stage IV Nasopharyngeal & Malignant Hematology patient since 2020.... if it were not for Moffitt intervening when they did I would not be here today. And they still (almost 6 years later) provide the best care compared to all the other medical providers I see. Especially Michelle Echeveria-Colon in Radiation, Stewart in Head & Neck Oncology, Amanda Rodriguez in Hematology, Patel in H&N surgery, Kish in Head & Neck oncology and all the amazing blood draw people that work tirelessly to find my veins lol.

Moffit cancer center in Tampa Florida is truly first class. Every single person from the time you walk into their facility until the time you leave meets you with care, compassion, a comforting smile, and understanding. They go above and beyond for their patience’s and the families at every turn. From charging stations, to private rooms for meetings (or naps), to bringing around complimentary waters and snacks. To the AMAZING food court- yes, folks, hospital food CAN be amazing! I’m talking skirt steak, fresh fire grilled pizza (with the firy brick oven right infront of you), fresh green beans and real egg omelets broken right in front of you! The volunteers that assist in the hallways always have a smile on their face and a comforting tone and actually KNOW things more than just where they’re going. They explain EVERYTHING they are going to do- before they do it and then ASK your permission before doing it! Each and every single member of the operating team came in (besides the scrub nurses) to my moms room and introduced themselves, shook her hand and ours, told us what they were going to be doing during her procedure and asked if she or us, had any questions for them. When the procedure was over, the surgeon met us In a private consult room and explained how I went, allowed us to ask ang and all questions we had about the surgery and post op, or anything else! Even allowed me to give him a hug for making sure my mom woke back up! I cannot say enough good things about Moffit and their care teams! Heaven forbid anyone else finds themselves in the need for a world class hospital team and treatment center- Moffit is the place to go!

One of Moffitt's employees has decided to make an insensitive comment surrounding the shooting death of Charlie Kirk, the conservative commentator. This is a matter I think the company should take VERY seriously and I will leave the comment below.

I had an MRI done on July 10, 2025. I have a growth of some kind in my right biceps. 20 years ago I had a non cancerous tumor removed from the same area. Since an Ultrasound done outside of Moffitt shows nothing (nevermind you can see the outline under my skin) my doctor sent me to Moffitt. The Moffitt Doctor ordered an MRI. I arrived and when it was my turn, the machine they attempted to use was small enough for a toddler. I had broken my left shoulder last year but still need to be mindful of it. So they needed to use a bigger machine. But I had to wait close to 2 hours until the bigger machine was available. A well known Cancer Center only has 2 MRI machines???? That’s ridiculous. I was trying to not fall asleep while waiting. I finally get my turn and the dang machine is still too tight. I had to keep my left arm squashed between the wall of the machine and my body. I was in there for an hour cause “Moffitt likes lots of pictures” My left hand went completely numb and it took a good deal of effort to push the call button to say I needed to come out. Then I had to get contrast and 15 more minutes stuffed into that thing. How is it that a very well known Cancer Center that clearly makes a ton of money, not have MRI machines that aren’t so tiny? What happens if a person is obese? My original appointment time was 2:30. When I got into my car to leave it was 6pm. Then to find out the doctor says there is nothing there. Well when your MRI techs don’t listen to the patient saying where the growth is, that’s what happens. Thankfully my outside Orthopedist’s PA said send everything to her and she will take care of it.

I was a full-time employee at Moffitt for over a year, in the EVS department. After a long time with them, I decided to request a change of department, but they didn't approve it because they were short on staff. From there I put in my resignation and they gave me a range of 14 days to cancel it, during that time I did a new job interview and supposedly they had already approved my application and I decided to cancel my resignation, they told me that this could not be, that I had to leave Moffitt completely, when other people have done the same thing that I did and this has not happened to them, from there after they had sent me the employment letter with a start date, I started writing to human resources and they did not answer me until someone out of fatigue answered me and told me that they could not give me the position because I had problems, when I have never signed any papers or been taken to an office for problems, I have never had a complaint from any patient, I get along very well with all my coworkers. This has been a problem of RACISM, they have denied me work, I have always been there for Moffitt whenever they need me, I am a resident, with all my papers in order, I still wonder why they have committed this injustice, they have not given me a good explanation.

By far the most disgusting hospital for cancer patients to ever exist. My father was in nine departments, multiple cancers, and he always felt like he was a number and expressed this and was right. In 2018 one of their head and neck drs almost killed him by nicking multiple areas and he almost bled out at home. St.Joes saved his life. They sent him home from THEIR ER in August septic and two days later he was transported from home to St.Joes north AGAIN. He spent 10 days there and 5 at home before he passed on 8/23. I hope this hospital gets shut down and I will express this to anyone who will listen. DO NOT TAKE YOUR LOVED ONES HERE. Find a better caring group of cancer specialists. You will be treated as a number and not a human being. There is karma in this life and the next for every disgusting doctor that took part in the pure negligent care of my father. You're a disgrace to the medical field.
