For starters the communication is Amazing! I don't feel like a number!! This is the second trucking company for me. My recruiter Kern was a big help! Amoya and Mr. Arthur are the best. Amoya is a hard working lady, my hats off!! And Mr. Arthur is the BEST trainer ever!!! He has such an amazing persona and positive energy! (Go KC) My fleet manager Shelly keeps me running!!! Marten Transport is a business. I've read several comments that complain about things that are CLEARLY in their policy handbook. I have had some issues with pay in the past, which were all mistakes by my fleet manager, not necessarily the company itself. All my issues were professionally handled by superior management and rectified each time. If you want this company to work well for you, then you should work well for the company. Follow the regulations and guidelines in your handbook, and I can assure you that you won't have any problems that can't be corrected. I regret coming to this company . It has been an uphill struggle since day 1. The miscommunication, inconsistencies, lack of accountability, deception. I’ve only been here for 2 months and have already had multiple occasions where I’ve had to call hr, and payroll . There are definitely more reputable companies out there. Had I known what I know now I would’ve avoided working here. Don’t fall for the guaranteed pay because they will find any reason not to pay you . The loads are split or live load so you’re either not getting compensated correctly or you’re wasting a lot of time .
