If you’re looking to get your septum, navel, or rook pierced… this is not the place to go. My friend and I went to get piercings from here because our original spot was closed for the holidays, so we went here on a whim and were expecting to walk out feeling cute and happy with our new piercings, that was not the case. Keep in mind that these are all piercings that we’ve had before.
For my septum, the piercer was having a hard time finding my sweet spot, his fingers were too big for my nose. Regardless of him already struggling, he tried to pierce my septum anyway and he pushed it through twice until he gave up and said he could not do it because my sweet spot is too high up. I mean if I were piercing someones septum and I was unsure if I could do it correctly, I wouldn’t even attempt to try. When I got home to clean the area, there was dried blood from both sides, so he almost had it through and on the plus side it wasn’t through my sweet spot. On top of that, it was just extremely painful, but I’ve had my septum pierced before so maybe it was because of the scarred tissue I don’t know.
My Navel wasn’t nearly as painful as my failed septum, but he didn’t even bother to let me look at the placement BEFORE piercing… I’m not even sure if he marked the placement at all. And so, it came out crooked. I was already unsure of getting it done because of what happened with my septum, plus the only jewelry available for it was in gold (I only wear silver) and I now know that I should’ve trusted my gut and said no to the navel. I would’ve had better chances doing it myself, and I should’ve.
My friend has gotten her rook pierced before and mentioned that it felt like nothing when she got it pierced, but this time she got it pierced ok the other ear and was squirming in her chair, looking like she was going through hell. She said she felt like she was mentally prepared since she watched me go first to see how he pierces, but oh boy was she wrong. It was so bad that she didn’t go through with getting her lobe pierced too, which is what she originally wanted to do. Luckily for her, I don’t think it came out looking bad though.
Overall, I think the safest and least painful option you can get from here (from my personal experience and opinion) would be a normal lobe piercing because I mean thats not a hard piercing to mess up. He wasn’t a bad guy, he was pretty nice. He just made simple to major mistakes, like using clamps on my navel before cleaning the area, not letting me judge the placement, going slower than necessary, he was also struggling with screwing on the balls and took him a good minute to get them on with all of them, and he didn’t give us any information about how to clean them after we were done which i’m pretty sure as a piercer you’re supposed to do regardless if the client already has piercings. I really don’t want to seem like a Karen because I’m usually weird about writing bad reviews because I always feel guilty, and I still kind of do, but I’m just very unsatisfied and I don’t want anyone to waste their money by going through what we did. There are better places out there.
