So I wanted to get a finger tat and was calling everywhere and the guy who works there, Z, was like "Im the most qualified person in this town to do it" and "I would not want to f#%& up a woman's hand." I got there and he was cool at first but was really off and jumpy like he was skeded or something. It was an awfully painful to get my finger tatted in the first place, but I was thinking "its worth the pain!" I almost passed out half way through but then I saw it and was pretty shocked cuz it looked like absolute shit. Tim Martin did a tattoo for me this past weekend at the Ink Mania Expo. I chose a tattoo from his book that consisted of a rose with a lace bow in the realism style. Halfway through tattooing me he tells my boyfriend that he decided to change it up and make it a traditional style tattoo with a realism bow. We did not discuss this. He did not tell me he was doing this and had he discussed it with me I would have told him no and to keep the style as realism. That being said, it is a solid tattoo. Came in with just an idea, a very basic one at that and in about 15-20 minutes Esben had drawn it out better than I expected. He was very clean and talked me through the process. It was my first tattoo, and what a beautiful one. So happy I got it done by him. It's a real piece of art and I couldn't have asked for a better experience.
