Arthur Gary K MD was a highly respected psychiatrist who served patients for over 30 years. Known for his compassion, empathy, and intelligence, he treated his patients with kindness and respect, never making them feel less than human. His warm personality, sense of humor, and honesty set him apart, raising the standard for mental health care in Tampa. Patients appreciated his ability to tell it like it was and his genuine care for their well-being. Throughout his career, he also had two excellent receptionist/office managers, which contributed to a positive experience for many. After retiring last year, many patients expressed their sadness and loss, describing him as a one-of-a-kind doctor who made a lasting impact on their lives. They shared how difficult it has been to find a replacement and how much they miss his presence, the smell of his pipe tobacco, and the comfort of his care. Despite retiring, he left a strong legacy of dedicated service, and his patients continue to hope he is enjoying his retirement and catching fish. Dr. Arthur's departure has left a significant void, and he is fondly remembered as an outstanding psychiatrist who truly made a difference.
Dr. Arthur was my doctor for 20 years. He was a compassionate, empathetic, smart, funny, savvy psychiatrist who told it like it was and never treated his patients as less than human, which is rare. It's inevitable that he would retire someday, and he did retire last year. I keep checking the website just in case he might have gotten bored and come back, but the Florida Department of health's website where physicians licensure is monitored has confirmed that he is not practicing and has retired. I truly miss having Dr Gary Arthur. He truly was a one of a kind of Dr. I know he needed his retirement to go enjoy life to the fullest!!! I wish I could see Dr Bell, but OWCP refused to let me stay with her after Dr Arthur retired!!! Thank you Dr Arthur for all your help you gave me over the years I’ve been seeing you. Replacing you won’t be easy and I will continue to keep you in my prayers!!!
Dr.Arthur was always the best . He started treating my husband an then the rest of our family 30 years ago. Now we our lost without him .We were hoping to see the Dr. that took over for him after his retirement . But we were dropped like a hot potatoes an giving a list of possible new doctors . I feel lost an miss Dr.Arthur an have not had any luck replacing him . It's truly sad but understandable an I hope he enjoys his retirement . I just wish the new Dr. would have kept us but she didn' t 😌😌
