Dr. Kevin Drygas and the team at Capital Veterinary Specialists were an absolute godsend for our family and our husky, King.

We traveled all the way from South Florida to Tallahassee after King was diagnosed with a tumor involving his ankle. From the moment we arrived, we felt like King was in incredibly capable hands.

Dr. Drygas took the time to examine King, perform advanced imaging, and really understand what was happening before determining what could safely be done. During surgery, he was able to remove approximately 95% of the gross disease while preserving the important structures King needs to continue using his leg. Brought my Aussie in after a healthscare. Dr. Drygas and his staff were incredibly helpful and cared very deeply about my pup. Luckily Banner is doing great now under the care of Cap Vet Spec. When we first came in we were told by my previous vet that cancer was a possibility after viewing x-rays, however the staff ran x-rays (for free!) and Dr. Drygas assured me that my pup did not appear to have cancer. He did recommend an MRI (very expensive, but I needed to know for myself and my pup if anything was wrong) but he did not push it on me or try to guilt trip me at all. Banner is 15 years old so he just has some old boy ailments.

Efficient, clean, friendly, thorough. Quickly and efficiently handled my appointment and my dog's initial diagnosis. The only negative was having my appointment for my pet on a day where the necessary veterinarian needed for the complete diagnosis was not on staff. Having to travel out of town to find out that I would need make a second visit before getting a complete diagnosis was frustrating. If I was a resident in Tallahassee it wouldn't have even been an issue.

The surgeryon my airedale terrier for Hip Dysplasia was flawless. They took spectacular care of my dog and the follow up prognosis was even better than I could have hoped for.
