    My visit was great, as all my visits have been. Very informative and great eye care. Dr. Malone is the absolute best, and everyone I encountered was very nice and helpful. I greatly appreciated the help I received from Travis when picking out my new glasses. I'm grateful for Big Bend Family Eyecare.

    I've been getting my prescriptions for 20yrs now any eye doctor has been very thorough with testing my eyesight. This place I was in and out within 10 minutes. When my new prescription eyeglasses came in there was no difference. I let the office ladies upfront about the situation and they just said sorry and I would I would get a call back but no response. Truly disappointing and I felt cheated of quality care of my eyesight

    05.17 Update, consumers please read the negative reviews and notice the company replies. It's unfortunate how they don't even appear to want to be helpful. Always out of there hands at that point. It's been to long or they can't find info. When I spoke to six different employees you had my info and did nothing. Now you're asking me to email the doctor. I think you had a chance. Probably should not have replied to this like you have chosen not to do on multiple other bad reviews.

    I had a mild issue I spoke to multiple employees and they simply dismissed my issue. I can't give a good review to a company that doesn't appear to care about what they do.

    This office exceeded my expectation. It is so easy to reach someone by phone or email to make an appointment even if its for a new patient. I was seen almost immediately and did a thorough eye exam. This is how it should be when you make an appointment and you are seen at that time instead of waiting forever which is the norm in doctor offices, but Big Bend Family Eye Care is an exception. I already recommended this place to my friend who couldn't get appointment anywhere for her daughter and here she had a great experience. I will highly recommend.

    Prior to today I would have nothing negative to say about the employees and service I've received from Big Bend Family eyecare. Unfortunately I seem to be having an issue.
    I have called them twice over the past two weeks and have been waiting for a call back from the office manager. I received a call today from Sheila.
    The situation, I had an issue with my eyesight that just popped up. I scheduled an appointment for an eye exam and listed the issue online while updating information.
    I had gone through the full exam as I have done many times before.
    The employees and doctor were very nice. She asked me to see my primary physician to complete an MRI.
    I then received a bill after paying for the extensive eye exam on the day I had the exam.
    While speaking with Sheila she told me my eye insurance doesn't pay for the exam they performed because of the way it was coded. When I challenged her about my visit being essentially the same as each of my prior visits she said she couldn't assist me. I tried to ask her what could be done to assist me. She appeared to become upset with me and said I can choose not to pay the bill and that it will go to collections. I realized at that point I was probably upsetting her. I asked her to speak to someone to see if there is anything they can do to assist me. She replied she would and that she will reach back out to me shortly with an answer.
    I will update this post after the call back. I'm hoping for a suitable solution to this issue.

    Monday 04.13.26 I received a call from Kyle he seems to want to be helpful. He is scheduled to call me back Wednesday. I hoping this issue is resolved and I can update positive feedback for Big Bend Family Eyecare.

    Final update Wednesday 04.21.26 after long conversation the doctor is holding firm. They have decided not to assist with the billing. Simply due to the visit being coded and billed as a medical treatment not a vision treatment. Remember I did not receive any different treatment than I have previously received at multiple vision exams. The person I spoke to assured me that future customers will be notified prior to a medical exam so that they can decide what to do prior to the exam. Unfortunately that doesn't help my situation.

    I will not be returning to Big Bend Family Eyecare due to their unwillingness to assist in this trivial situation.
