Had the pleasure of working with Chris Lambeth on a home inspection. Would highly recommend him. He was very responsive to all texts, calls and emails, answered all my questions and was able to turn around the inspection in a timely manner as well as the 4pt inspection.

They did my inspection and my insurance was calculated accordingly. A month after I closed, I got over $700 bill from insurance company, due to an inspection mistake. They are refusing to even communicate with me.

My home insurance was canceled, so I needed a new 4 point inspection while shopping for insurance. Went with Pelican and they made 2 separate errors on my 4 point that my insurance broker pointed out and I had to send for correction. They were quick to correct, but with a less attentive insurance broker I would be paying higher monthly premiums for Pelican’s mistake. They said that my home had a space heater/fireplace and that no roof strapping was present. My home does not have a fireplace and pictures of the roof strapping were in the report, but left off the inspection.

I called Scott one Month before we needed a 4pt inspection I told him I am flying from out of state and when he inspects it will be the day before absolutely needing the inspection he assured me it would be done and I had no worries about it. I arrived the day before the appt i texted Scott to remind him of appt he says 10am I have you down but then Says in the same text one of the inspectors was sick today and should be back tomorrow and he said he would call me in the morning so i reiterated I have to have this done so please have someone there as I scheduled 1 Month ago. The next morning no one showed up I called several times and told him i was panicking but he would not answer I was in tears and i told him i was flying from out of state. if i could give a 0 I would as this is the most unprofessional business i have ever dealt with and to this day no apology no phone call no nothing. I do not Recommend at all.

Disappointing and very odd service.Hired Scott's company to perform my initial four-point home inspection. When you call and are a brand-new customer the return phone calls always seem to be very prompt. The home did not pass the four-point inspection and Scott educated me on the things needed to be fixed. He said to call back and he will inspect the home again quickly once the needed repairs are made.The problem is Scott now repeatedly mentions he will provide a separate inspection, however no inspection or call back to confirm a date ever happens. I have called six times in the past, four times mentioning who I am and please call me so we can set up a time for an inspection. Even if another fee has to be paid that would have been acceptable. No calls back are ever returned. It became clear that he was screening everyone's phone calls and simply did not want to talk to me when I would leave a more vague voicemail and would get a prompt call back from those messages. Those with a times he mentioned we would get the home reinspected, and simply never called back. I have called two more times since then.The problem is not so much the inspection, but the weirdness of why Scott does not return phone calls or only seems to really favor brand-new clients. This delay is costly and I'm unsure why my calls are being ignored. Feels very helpless.If you are a brand-new client you will probably have decent service, however if you ever need him to come back out I would not rely on it.

Wonderful experience! Chris inspected 2 houses for me. He was thorough, personable, and made sure I understood the meanings behind the inspection findings. Chris allowed me to be much better informed during the home buying process. I highly recommend Chris and Pelican.

Like another person noted we found several obvious issues immediately after moving in that should have been found by the inspector, but were not noted in the report. I had a question about an item in the report and called and left a message and they never even called me back. While the issues were not major it makes me wonder what else they might have missed that I am not yet aware of. I was not impressed with their level of service and would not personally recommend them.
