I have a structural imbalance in my body due to injury to my leg. This has always caused a certain level of back pain. I went to see Dr. Katie because I was in acute pain. She addressed the acute pain first and then discussed with me how to address the chronic pain. Dr. Katie was very knowledgeable, patient, and it was easy to trust her understanding of the situation. She began treatment with trigger point therapy. Then, she suggested dry needling in order to reduce the muscular contraction where the pain was most acute. Katie is the best Physical Therapist I have ever encountered! She works one on one and never leaves your side through the entire session. Her focus and deep understanding of the body and mobility translate into a partnership of recovery with her patient which I find so unique. She is a great communicator with empathy and good listening skills that came together to be pivotal in not only my physical progress but in a great client- therapists relationship. There should be more Katie Carpenter’s in the world!!!
As a psychologist in pain from foot to neck I appreciated Dr. Katie’s sensitive professional and active therapies complete with imaging services, home exercises / videos, but especially her patience and interest in my special challenges as a Senior. I was encouraged to stay active and am ready to compliment my activities with knowledge and motivation.
