Excellent service. The staff was amazing and the Dr answered all my questions concerning my senior dog. When the dog takes treats, I know the vet has done a good job!

Dr. Learning was outstanding with my dog and I as we came in for an eye issue that came up overnight for my almost 6 year old PWD. It was our first time there and we felt right at home. Nothing is better than a great Dr. who makes you feel comfortable with your fur baby! He went above and beyond the issue that we came in for to ensure I had a healthy and happy dog otherwise! Nothing hurts more than to see your animal in pain! Would recommend this office to anyone in area! From easy check with front desk staff, to our Nurse Mitch, we had the best experience for such a nerve-wracking time! Thank you DTSP Vet!!

Dr. Learning is awesome. He is very knowledgeable and patient. Takes his time to explain things. He also makes you feel like your doing a good job with your pet. His staff is also friendly and kind and accommodating. I would highly recommend him and his staff.

The staff was wonderful, and Dr Learning was amazing! Fit me and my duck whitey in on less than 24 hrs notice. He helped me feel immensely better about my ducks current state, and we made a realistic plan of action with detailed instruction fo continued care. He was informative, caring and personable, as was his staff. Thank y'all so much!

I had to bring in a chicken and the doctor was amazing. He did a wonderful job cleaned up her wound treated her for a respiratory infection. Gave me the meds I needed an instruction took the time to speak with me. I highly recommend, especially if you have a bird, there’s not many doctors who understand about birds in general. Dr Learning is amazing!! I also followed up after the weekend to let him know she was still alive and that I might’ve been concerned about possibly having more antibiotics and we discussed in detail recommendations. It’s been now a week. I’m still hand feeding her, but it’s wonderful knowing that I have the ability to contact them and follow up with any questions if need be it’s been a slow recovery and we’re still hopeful For a full recovery I’m grateful for their kindness and the resources that could provide me. Unfortunately, she has since developed wry neck And doesn’t seem like she’ll make a full recovery chickens are tricky. They have not been able to provide me with any further help.

Dr. Learning and his team are wonderful! We brought our Yellow Head Amazon parrot here after we were told by another clinic that she would need to have one of her claws amputated. We initially just went for a 2nd opinion but quickly realized Dr. Learning was determined to save her claw. He drafted a plan of action, had several contingency plans and even consulted with other vets. And a month and a half later she is doing quite well, her claw is continuing to heal and she is able to use it. We can’t thank them enough for helping our baby. This clinic is quite a drive for us but it’s worth it!

About a month ago, my chicken, Jinnie, was brutally attacked by a raccoon (first picture). She was so badly wounded I didn’t even think she’d make it through the night. It was hard for me to find a place that took birds, but thankfully the next morning I found this place and they got me in the same day. Dr. Learning was amazing and cleaned her off, sutured her injuries, gave her pain meds, and gave me a treatment routine that involved antibiotics and ointment. He explained everything thoroughly, answered all 20 million questions I had, and was up front about the severity of her vent injury and what the road to recovery would be. Him and the whole staff are kind, caring, and attentive. I am so grateful I found this place, otherwise my Jinnie might no longer be with me. She’s been back outside for two weeks and has reintegrated wonderfully—the rest of the pictures are of her from this morning. Through the healing journey, I was able to communicate with the staff about any questions or concerns that I had and text them pictures. I cannot recommend this place, the whole staff, and Dr. Learning enough. After this experience, I’ve established my other pets with this office. They have the best animal care I’ve ever experienced in my whole life of being a pet owner. Thank you so much Downtown St. Pete Vet Clinic!!🥲🩷
