Okay, so I'm a plant nut, but this is one of my favorite places in St Augustine. Everything is very well organized here, the place is well-kept and they have a huge variety of things. It can be fun here to walk through the property and get ideas or learn of something you'd never heard of before. You can't help but leave here feeling a little better about life.I think they must do a fair amount of inventory turnover and have staff that they dedicate to keeping plants looking fresh. This is my absolute favorite nursery!! I focus on buying primarily native/butterfly host plants and was completely floored the first time visiting this gem. Their selection of native plants is quite extensive- the largest I have seen anywhere. We have visited most if not all of the nurseries in Jax and nothing compares to this nurseries selection of native plants. Also, can I just mention the great prices?? You will forever have a customer in me- gotta feed my hungry caterpillars! ☺️

I had the most amazing experience with Southern Horticulture. I called a few weeks ago and the lady that answered was super helpful. Because of her, I decided to go to Southern Horticulture to buy my plants for my shade memorial garden. When I arrived a lady asked if I needed help, I said yes, very much. She walked me to the shade plants, helped me know what would go well with my hostas and got me a cart for my purchases. At checkout a second lady was super helpful and double checked my choices for me and gave me tips for fertilizer and insecticide options. They are a small family run business and I'm happy to support them each time I need plants in the future.
