He quoted a very fair price, completed the work in the timeframe that we needed, was honest about delays due to an unusual amount of rainfall, and did quality work. He and his team did quality work, prepped the site appropriately for efficiency and safety, and cleaned up completely. “My daughter was under contract on her first home, and the inspector noted multiple deficiencies with the roof, 1989 HVAC and ductwork, electric panel and water heater. It was disheartening. We had just two business days to get quotes for her to decide if she could afford the improvements to make insuring the home affordable. I volunteered to help on a Friday afternoon to get quotes. For the roofing, the Owens-Corning website showed a few preferred platinum dealers in the Clearwater area and Classic roofing over 1000 positive reviews. David Walsh was available to provide a quote that afternoon on Duration architectural shingles with a 25/50-year warranty. He also provided options for hurricane clips, roof underlayment on the entire roof deck which helps with insurance costs plus gutters/downspouts. He provided a professional proposal that spelled out what Classic would provide. Because of his timeliness, she was able to decide to move forward with the home purchase on Monday.

We obtained two more proposals on each trade to do due diligence, then compared prices and services. The roofing market was very competitive, but Classic won the contract, in part because of David’s help with answering all the many questions. She closed on the home, and the challenging part was to get all the work done in a timely manner so reroofing, for instance, did not cause damage to the new duct work.

Work started on the 9th and she had to be out of an apartment three weeks later. Some said it couldn’t be done but we were beyond blessed with the contractors we had. The work was done in 6 days, and the move happened 4 days later! Classic completed the reroofing in one day as my daughter worked a 12 hour shift at the hospital. The crew, led by Austin, project manager, and Rumalda, the crew chief, did a great job! They worked hard. They protected the yard from nails with tarps from the dumpster to 20’ away. Our tires were grateful.

The finished product is such an improvement going from a tan roof with granular loss and missing shingles to a striking charcoal grey roof. We are awaiting new insurance quotes that should reflect a clean 4 points report and wind mitigation report. Best of all is the peace of mind of knowing her investment is protected by a new roof. We are very happy to have selected Classic Roofing and thankful for David’s help.“
