“I want to share what I believe is truly an amazing renovation project that came in on time and on budget!!<br><br>We live in Clearwater, about 1/2 way between Dunedin and Safety Harbor. We love our location! However, our home, built in 1989, really needed to be updated. We looked for a new home for over two years and finally realized we had the best location; we just needed to do a total renovation. I had three estimates for our master bathroom, from about 3 years earlier. All three estimates were in the same range and much higher than we had expected.<br><br>Now, we met Brent and Rick from Wood and Stone Renovations. We used them for a few smaller jobs, and each time they beat the time and budget. One project was damage from a leaking window. They suggested contacting the window company first instead of paying them to come and fix the leak and repair the drywall. They were correct. New South Windows came out and made all the repairs to the drywall at no charge. That sealed the deal for their honesty and integrity.<br><br>We then asked them for an estimate on the master bath, and for the same bid, they were exactly 1/2 the price of the other three estimates!! We began working with them in late November. They had great ideas and really listened to all of our issues and thoughts. They came back with an estimate and a 12-week timeline. We were ready to go.<br><br>We removed walls, all bamboo flooring, and gutted the kitchen, laundry room, master bathroom, and butler pantry. They gave us places to look at tile, fixtures, and appliances, and we found nearly everything we needed at those businesses. We booked our spot on their calendar. They provided drawings, phone calls, texts, in-person meetings, and we were off and running for a May 1st start. They stressed that their goal was to under-promise and over-deliver!<br><br>As usual, we found moisture problems under the bamboo flooring, which they suspected. This meant using an epoxy sealant on all of the floors. Again, not an issue; they just readjusted the schedule and made it happen. They consistently exceeded our expectations.<br><br>Our home turned out beautiful and beyond our expectations! They would see something that we did not and have it corrected by their subs at their cost. No impact to the budget. There were people working nearly every Saturday and even on a holiday. Having worked in industry for over 45 years, nothing about this was normal; no finger-pointing or cost adjustments upwards.<br><br>Without hesitation, we are proud to give them a five-star review in all areas: transparency, workmanship, follow-up, communications, and responsiveness to all calls and texts. No ghosting!
