I called Bear Air on a referral because our ac just wouldn’t stay running. Duane picked up right away, gave me a time frame of when he could come out and updated me on his location and arrival time. He showed up, very friendly and professional and right away found the issue. He explained to me how the air handler and thermostat work together and replaced the thermostat on the spot. Very thorough and efficient, I would highly recommend his services!
Our six year old beach-side HVAC system corroded to the point of no return, so we got some quotes on new units. Bear Air's proposal was remarkable. Not only was the price half of the other quotes we got, but the equipment manufacturer has a long and strong history, and the warrantee covers the system for 10 years INCLUDING corrosion, which was the only proposal that had such coverage. When you live near the beach, corrosion is what ruins your HVAC system (and everything else), so this feature sealed the deal. Duane, the owner, takes his relationship with his customers very seriously and is very responsive. We've been pleased with this choice.
My AC went out and so I received a few quotes from AC companies that had serviced my unit over the past 4 years since I purchased the home. The AC was 10 years old and had literally crumbled to the concrete slab (I live pretty close to the beach.) Something didn't feel right about these quotes or the people providing the quotes - the units they were recommending and the service didn't add up - so I took a break and after about 7 days, on a Saturday evening, I called Bear / Duane after googling company options close by.
