After taking my cat in due to throwing up and diarrhea, they wanted to charge lil under 2000 to do ALL the tests cuz they were unsure what was wrong with him. They said he has a fever but that was it After only doing the blood work and pancreas testing all tests came back great, I was told we’re not sure what’s wrong with him, so do you wanna try this test or that test. I’m sorry but I’m not made of money and as a professional I expected some more knowledge of the issue… not only that but my cat was taken into the back room for about 2 hours with out me seeing him. Iv never been to a vet that does that they always keep him with me unless it was for blood work. The staff weren’t professional, the vet tech nurse after I told her my cat doesn’t like people proceeds to talk in such a high pitched voice and it was scaring my cat, visibly my cat is shying away and she still talks in the high voice I shhhed her. The staff kept saying how slow it was you could hear them laughing in the front office while my cat is in the back room.. all in all not the best place to visit in my opinion. Was discharged with nausea meds nothing for his fever. And was told only to come back if he throws up again in 24 hrs. And that he had some diarrhea and they had to clean him up. He was sprayed with some type of perfume with out my permission. Sure theses can be seen as minor things but it’s the professionalism of it all. vary not what I expected from an emergency vet.

Terry and Dr. Fusch did an outstanding job diagnosing and treating my American Eskimo. I am a retired Veterinary Technician and these ladies know their business. I highly recommend.

This facility is absolutely amazing!; I had to bring my dog in yesterday , very serious situation she has ,, was referred by my Vet at Southgate bc it was Sunday. The most compassionate staff and even took the time with me to apply for care credit as my dog is in need of a procedure at my regular vet facility. If I could 100 stars on here I would .. Highly recommend. Thankyou for taking the time for me and my girl Amber..

I took my 20 week old puppy here after she swallowed something she shouldn’t have -- we needed immediate induction so she would throw up the toxic item. I called this office and they told me I could come right away. I was seen within 10 minutes and my pet was taken care of immediately. The staff was fantastic! Thank you for great pet care and customer service. The cost was reasonable as well.

My diabetic dog came out of this place worse than he went in after spending approx 10 hours there. He died the next day. Got there at 10 am and after him throwing up and a having to urinate a lot from his glucose being high he was finally seen 2 hours later. I just needed him to get stabilized until he could go to his regular vet the next day. They said normally they would keep him for 3 days. But he was very much alert. Long story short they said I would have to wait until 8 pm to pick up. Finally around 9 pm they brought him out. I was devastated at his overall health. Supposedly they gave him 2 different antinausea meds. He threw up on the way home twice and went downhill from there. I could go on about so many issues….complained to the vet and basically had to agree to disagree. Worst place ever. I saw no love or compassion for the animals or the people.

I was frantic thinking my dog was hurt and Suncoast was one of the very few ERs that was open at 2:00am. They were so lovely and showed so much care to my dog and me…and the one I was dog-sitting that came along! Good to know they’re there…

We brought our dog Sasha to Suncoast Veterinary Emergency Center late on a Saturday night, and they took incredible care of her. When she had to be hospitalized the next night for fluids and IV antibiotics, the staff was unbelievably kind, patient, and transparent. They clearly explained our options, helped us manage costs, and even called to check on her. We’re so grateful for the compassion they showed and for helping save our pup. Highly recommend. Thank you! 🐾💙

I have two Jack Russell's and I have had to bring both to Suncoast at separate times. The first was where a very large and aggressive dog attacked my 8 yr old. I brought her in on the weekend and they stitched up her large wound and treated her great. The second was where my puppy JR ate some Advil on the weekend and I had to bring him at night after her threw up repeatedly. They assessed him, did bloodwork, and sent us home with various meds and great advice on keeping an eye on him for key signs. Thankfully, he ended up doing great without needing to go in again. It is so nice having an emergency vet clinic like Suncoast right down the road from us.

I called to ask if they could see my dog for an eye injury. The polite young gentleman who answered the phone said to come right over. He was diagnosed with a corneal ulcer and I was given the necessary medication and instructions for treatment. The veterinarian, Dr Laubert, was great. She was kind and very thorough. The technician, I wish I knew her name, my dog loved which is so rare! She was incredible with him and also with me, going over everything to make sure I understood. I’m so happy that Suncoast is available to us when needed.
