I just recently moved a family member in. The intake staff was very pleasant. The place was cleaner and smelled sooo much better than previous nursing homes I have visited. The only initial negative was they did not get her TV set up & said it would be a couple days before it was fixed. The only thing she wanted to do was watch TV. So maybe just verify that TV is set up before you move someone in there. ❤
I give Sarasota Point Rehab 5 stars for their PT and daytime staff. Michelle the activity director is amazing! So kind and patient with all the residents. I participated in karaoke and it was a blast! Jessica and Kjirsten in PT were amazing with my 89 year old dad. Very friendly, kind and patient. Derek the Social Services director was so approachable and always was available to answer my questions. Lori the director was also very friendly and always available to answer my questions. My only negative comment would be the night staff. My dad complained that they were rough and pushed his wheelchair into the wall. Sometimes they got him up at 4:30 am even...read full review
The greatest feature about this facility is the staff. I have felt very well cared for since I've been here and the activities director is extraordinary she is an exceptional individual that is made every day fun and involving. It would have been very easy for me just to be putting in my room and not do anything or meet anybody but she took a personal interest in what we were doing and how we were doing it she alone deserves five stars Plus
