About Neal Communities
Neal Communities is a home builder known for constructing quality homes in beautiful communities. Customers often appreciate the good construction and the attentive care provided during the building process. Many reviews highlight the helpfulness and professionalism of the staff, especially employees like sales team members and construction managers, who go above and beyond to keep customers informed and address concerns. For example, some employees are praised for their knowledge, personable attitude, and willingness to answer questions, even on days off. Customers also value the transparency and updates provided during construction, which help build trust and reassure buyers throughout their journey. However, some issues are noted. The builder does not always disclose important information upfront, such as the fact that pools are not heated until many homes are sold. The community's maintenance is sometimes lacking, with residents feeling the management company hired by Neal Communities is not proactive in maintaining the neighborhood and does not resolve problems promptly. This has led to frustrations with community upkeep and service quality. Despite these concerns, the overall experience with Neal Communities includes positive interactions with dedicated employees who care about their customers and the company's reputation. In summary, Neal Communities is recognized for their quality homes and committed staff, but potential buyers should be aware of certain communication gaps and community management challenges.
I am a Neil homeowner of nine years. In the last several days, I’ve been attempting to get a hold of a person in the warranty department. No one answers the phone at any time of day. I am directed to voicemail. Just before this review, I attempted to contact any human in sales and even an operator. Every time I am directed to voicemail. How is it possible to do business when you can’t reach anybody? Not acceptable and reflects poorly on the product.

We closed on our house in Windward (Sarasota Lakewood Ranch) November 2022. This was a spec home so we had no say in finishes but knew what they would be. Because our kitchen wasn't finished at closing, We were given a letter that they owed us all of the things that the kitchen still needed in terms of cabinetry, pulls, paint, and touch up work. All the things. We still are waiting! We have built several homes with different builders and working with Neil communities has been extraordinarily disappointing. The worst experience we have had Building a new home. The quality of the finished work is so bad it feels that we have moved in to a poorly done flip.... is...read full review
