Your doctors group employees a critical care physician who decided to ignore my father’s heart attack in ICU at SMH Venice. He suffered immense crushing chest pain for more than 14 hours, nurses followed doctors orders and gave antipsychotics that prolong the QT leading to further injury. She (your doctor) felt it was better to leave the ICU early that afternoon right after I pointed out his STEMI on the monitor. I have been a patient of Dr. Azuero at this practice for over 10 years. First Physician's Group has always billed my insurance and been paid for my exam. This year they told me that they did not accept my insurance and billed me as a self pay patient. I contacted my insurance company and was told that they are in network and they sent me a check for the amount that First Physicians would have been paid. In my opinion, this is simply an attempt to remove patients from insurance because they receive higher payments from self pay patients. Dr. Azuero was a fine physician who I will miss but I won’t miss dealing with the office staff.

I am so sorry I traded in my doctor for this unprofessional outfit. Front service and telephone service staff need to be retrained. I requested a call back and never got one. The next time they let the phone ring 2 times and hung up before I got to the phone.
