I’m very disappointed with the experience I recently had with Joseph Edge at The Tax Shoppe. I had previously used his services once before, and he seemed very nice and straightforward at that time. However, in my recent email exchanges, when I was simply asking a few questions about filing for my children while I haven’t been working, his responses came across as rude and dismissive.

I wasn’t challenging him — I was just trying to understand my situation — but he made me feel like my questions were a bother. I rarely leave reviews, but I felt very let down by how unprofessional and discourteous the communication was this time. I expected more patience and respect, especially after being a returning client.

I’ve worked with Richard for years and he is truly the best. He’s effective and efficient.

Its all about money for them, you do everything they charge you just to file. what im paying for if i have to do the all the work. ignorant people. not to mention while you are on the phone they hangup on you. How professional of them. they even charge you a percentage if you pay by credit card, who does that if you are being charge by credit card company then deduct it as a expense aren't you suppose to be the tax man.

I've been with Joe Edge and The tax shoppe for nearly 30 years. They are excellent in there field. The staff is well trained, polite and professional. The Tax shoppe is who i recommend when asked about tax services.

They are unethical and unprofessional.
They made an obvious error on my returns by simply overlooking the furnished tax forms, they admitted to making the error which resulted in IRS penalties, refused to do anything about it, said my return is too complicated for them, and that I should go to someone else who can handle my return. When I asked the owner to pay the IRS penalties for their mistake I was told to take my business elsewhere.

UPDATE:
The owner responds to my review saying below that I'm a whack job, again owner being unprofessional, no surprise. Then lies and falsely says I sent over 20 emails changing my deductions, all untrue.
There were multiple emails because Tax Shoppe made multiple mistakes and were too busy to discuss on the phone.

Again, DO NOT GO HERE!!!

Could not find a tax place like this i have been going there for 3 years i will continue to have them do my taxes they're fair and honest thank you, tax shoppe.
