I was overwhelmed and scared. Even though we were not his patients, Dr. Hirsch called me that same night, arranged for me to come in promptly, and coordinated an ultrasound.

He stayed in close contact with both me and my primary veterinarian, personally calling me with results and offering calm, rational, expert guidance throughout. His depth of knowledge and clinical judgment were evident at every step, and he was a steady, reassuring voice when I needed it most.
