Just had an amazing experience at my appointment today. The test I needed is known for being quite painful, so I was really anxious beforehand. But I felt the radiologist performing the procedure was very skilled and experienced, which thankfully made it hurt less than I thought it would.
The other big thing that stood out was how empathetic and kind she and the 3 other team members in the room all were. I was super nervous at the beginning, but they did an amazing job of making me feel better. I walked in for third trimester and glucose test at 6am and made it out in good time. Everyone I spoke to was kind and competent. Much different from my experience at labcorp on 12th ave(waiting 2+hrs even with an appointment) and quest(unfortunate computer outage). Also the results came back only a couple hours later which was great given the time crunch I was on for my blood work. I will only be using this location from now on.
A visit to this location couldn’t have been more different than the other Ascension Sacred Heart labs to which I’ve been. I was already in the hospital and took the opportunity to get some lab-work taken care of while there.
I had contact with 3 people in the check- in/ registration area. Every single one was rude, incompetent or dismissive. I was not asking questions or being troublesome - just waiting my turn.
The one saving grace was the phlebotomist. She was pleasant, efficient and knowledgeable.
