About Tarpon Woods Golf Club
Tarpon Woods Golf Club is a good place for golfers of all levels, including beginners. The quiet and slow pace of play makes it a nice spot for learning the game without feeling rushed. The scenic golf holes and beautiful wildlife add to the course's charm. The course layout offers some cool challenges, although landscaping and maintenance are neglected, with tee boxes often missing and greens having many bad spots and bare patches. The course is currently undergoing maintenance like overseeding and berating, which affects its condition. Despite these issues, the staff remains friendly, and the restaurant and bar are worth visiting. While the prices are affordable, some areas of the course need improvement, and it might be best to play when the course is in better shape. Overall, it’s a decent option for a fun and budget-friendly day of golf.
Lots of sand and dirt with sparse grass on tees, fairways, and greens. Nice layout though. No crowds.
Tarpon Woods Golf. The course could use some TLC, but the service was top tier. It is a full 72 game, the fairways are well spread out, we did not see any other players our whole round. MIKE in the clubhouse was a delight. He provided us with ice and water, and offered his personal speaker for us to use for our game. He gifted me a set of 12 brand new women’s balls and once it started raining he grabbed my boyfriend’s shoes (that were accidentally left on top of our truck) and delivered them to us mid game. Course needs some TLC, please work on improving the course conditions and spend some money on the club house!
