Stay away from this company! 2 1/2 year old system installed by them stopped working. Techs said evaporator coil was bad, orederd a new one and installed (a week) and system still not working. Now they say it's the copper line from compressor to air unit that's leaking. Mis-diagnosed the issue, charged $90 for service call, $195 for "testing" and over $800 for freon. After $1000 for a system that's under warranty still not fixed after a week and a half. 96 year old WWII vet living in a 86 degree house and they have no compassion or ability to properly diagnose the issue. Palm Bay Air & Heat - Air Conditioning installationI was referred by ServicePlus Home Warranty (an on-line company) to contact Palm Bay Air & Heat as the local contractor. Palm Bay Air & Heat were indifferent and took 3 phone calls to get them to verify the claim number from ServicePlus. Every time the answer was to call back later. Finally the claim was located, the technician took 2 days to come to the house. This company charges you the $75.00 Service Call up front on the phone before the technician comes to the site. I was referred by ServicePlus to contact Palm Bay Air & Heat. It took 3 phone calls to get them to verify the claim number from ServicePlus. Every time they answer I was told to call back later. Finally the claim was located; the technician took 2 days to come out. This company charges you the $75.00 Service Call on the phone before the technician comes out. The technician inspected the unit and recommended to replace the same with a 4 ton unit. I gave the deposit (they made me pay the 3% VISA charge) and the technician said that will come back to fill the Old Unit with Freon.
