“Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. They took such good care of my Chihuahua that he totally forget he was a Chihuahua, where no snips happened which I was sure would of happened. But they took care of all my needs and concerns and all with a big smile on their faces and I left not only with a totally different dog but more knowledgeable about him. I would for sure recommend them to anyone needing help with a furry friend. I would give 10 ? if I could.“

“I can't say enough glowing things about the staff here. I had to put my fur baby down and they were amazing at such an emotional time . They are a 24 hour vet. But their prices were reasonable. So many places will charge you an arm and a leg because they know you don't have a choice. That is not the case here. They are compassionate. They have so many specialist on staff . I highly highly recommend them if you are in a time of need.“

“I can’t speak highly enough about my experience today. My cat Lily is 10, almost 11 years old and doesn’t have a good track record with the vet. Today was my first time at Hughes animal clinic and I don’t think I will take my cat anywhere else again. The whole staff deeply cares about animals and the doctor was sharing how this is a fear free clinic and he has literally taken classes to help learn this method so the animals aren’t scared. My cats last trip to our prior vet, she was terrified. She had peed all over herself. She was hissing, biting, and scratching, and our prior vet just didn’t really seem to care that she was so uncomfortable and scared and was being a bit rough with her. I had given her some gabapentin before coming in today due to Dr. Hughes recommendation. Lily was so good with how she handled everything and the staff knew she didn’t handle the vet good in the past so, they gave her a warm towel with cat pheromones to keep her calm. While we were waiting to pay and she was back in her carrier, they put some cotton balls soaked in the pheromones in her carrier so she wasn’t uncomfortable at any point. I feel so relieved to know I finally found somewhere that cares deeply about the animals that come in!! Lily and I couldn’t be more grateful!❤️“

“Highly recommend VSS. From the time we scheduled the consultation to now (months after surgery) Dr. Hay and the team have been great to work with. We brought our Aussie in for TPLO surgery. Dr. Hay was very thorough in his explanation of the surgery and ready and willing to answer any questions we had. The staff were very friendly and great with communication throughout. Hopefully we won’t be back but if the dog needs surgery again we know where we will go!“

“I was very pleased with my experience at this veterinary office. Dr Daniels is super sweet and was very gentle, loving, and calm with my 12 year old kitty. The facility is clean, staff is friendly and professional. My kitty was able to explore our room, she really enjoyed the window sill. She and I have had bad experiences at other vets, so I was nervous to try another place, but there was zero reason to worry as this place is very nice. I recommend this facility, especially for cat owners!“

“I have been going to A Pets Place for 3 years for both of my dogs. Dr. Dan and his wife and staff are great. I had to put my 16 year old rat terrier down and they had her cremated. When I received her ashes is was very nicely done with a urn I picked out with her name on it in a blue velvet bag, a touching card from his staff with the imprint of her foot. This was so touching. “Although I did love Dr St John, the new vet, Dr A and staff have transformed the former VERY cluttered, crowded, and dark space, into a clean, bright, beautiful space. Prices have increased quite a bit, but are in line with other vets in the area. You would HAVE to expect that when a new owner takes over a decades-old practice. You can obviously see that the money is not lining anyone's pockets - it is going toward the practice. I am very happy with Dr A and staff and am confident they are taking good care of the patients in their care. My senior yorkie is well loved and cared for there. Most of the poor reviews are about cost. Is that really the measurement you're going to use for a vet's quality and expertise? Shouldn't medical professionals make money? Should they spend YEARS and a great deal of money becoming a vet and then not expect to recoup anything from their efforts? C'mon. (I'm POSITIVE Dr St John didn't spend a tiny fraction of what Dr A had to spend on her education!) In your review, just say "I can't afford to take my pet here." There's no need to bash the practice because it doesn't line up with your budget. I have been going to this practice for over 20 years with all of my dogs. I was happy with Dr. St John and I am happy with Dr A and staff as well. By the way, I was not asked to write a review, and I am not friends with or related to anyone there either. I happened to be looking up the phone number and saw the poor reviews on Google. I know how poor reviews can affect a business.“
