She suggested we revert to mommy and me classes for a bit when she struggled with the toddler class, and she was right. Now my daughter has a grasp of the basics and looks forward to her weekly class. There’s a lot of variability with the schedule and the drop in classes work for us.“

“This dojo is exceptional!!! I would recommend to anyone wanting to start their children in Karate. They take the martial arts seriously and are family-owned. The Senseis work in such great unison and the classes are not robotic and like most chain martial arts places. All the trainings are intentional, well thought-out and they teach the discipline of martial arts beautifully. My child (age 3!) came home in just a few weeks counting in Japanese and showing off all her moves. We love the Dojos Ken USA family and highly recommend this business!“

“I’ve been a part of Atemi Ryu Jujitsu for sixteen years now and I have never seen a more intense dojo that pays as much attention to detail as we do. Grandmaster Chenique and Grandmaster Auturo (among other instructors) really know how to push someone past their limits and get the absolute best out of them. It took me almost 7 years to get my black belt but that’s what you want. It’s not the type of dojo where you just pay your money, show up to class and then they just hand you a belt. You have to earn it…the old fashioned way!!

I love the tradition, structure and organization of this dojo, as well. I can assure you that if you listen to the instructors, trust the techniques they teach you and give it your all, then you will walk out of there feeling extremely confident in your ability to handle yourself against anyone or anything and make it home to your family.
