we had John do our yearly maintenance for our York a/c. he was friendly and knew what to do. had no problems but would recommend custom cooling for all your a/c needs. very prompt. The technician that came out wasn't able to diagnose the problem and said the unit was working perfectly fine even though the air handler was frozen with ice and needed to be defrosted. The technician was super nice and polite. I called several times to get a quote to run a diagnostic. I was quoted $99. After the technician left without diagnosing the problem, he charged me $159. I was paying with a voucher from Bryant and asked if that was why I was being overcharged. He said the $99 only included 15 minutes of time. Regardless, I had to call the office and ask why I was being charged $159 when the technician didn't even diagnose the problem. Since my air stopped working immediately after the technician left and they offer a 30 day guarantee, their solution was to not come back out and not charge me. Great as they weren't qualified to diagnose a problem another company found immediately. However, the technician walked off with the screws to my air handler. Rather than apologize and return them, I've had to contact the company a total of three times with what sounds like a lot of aggravation from the company about having to return them, as if I was inconveniencing them. They won't mail them to me. The comment was even made that they are just regular screws that can just be replaced by me. Well, it's not my job to drive to the store and purchase screws to replace something your technician walked off with. Once the office manager got annoyed with me for having to replace the screws and started huffing, the call was terminated and I chose to leave a review.
