I have tried for 2 days to get my mother an antibiotic. They keep dropping our calls and telling me that the doctor hasn't even seen the request yet. My mother is getting worse and she is having severe back pain . She is 85 years old and now since her doctor's office doesn't care enough about her patients, I will have to take her to the emergency room. Thanks for nothing Conviva staff.

I have been a patient of this medical group for quite a few years. The staff and the Physician Assistant have always worked with me and made accomodations when I was not feeling well. They have followed up after treatment and to check if I was OK.Prior doctors were very good and I can understand how many folks have problems when there are changes.However, be it known that being attended by the most knowledgeable PA in this group's practice is invaluable. He's caring, thorough and listens very well. DO NOT DIMINISH his work because he doesn't have the paper that says MD. I would put my money on his expertise any day. This morning I had the misfortune of seeing a Dr. laporta in the NSB office. This is a temporary doctor who has never seen me before but felt it was in my best interest to terminate maintenance medications I have been prescribed by the revolving door of doctors there for the past three years. These are not controlled substances or medications that are addictive but will all of which cannot be stopped without the dosage being titrated down without severe side effects. He only berated the previous doctors for prescribing them in the first place and didn't address the issue of withdrawal from these medications.
