Off The Leash Academy

We were at a loss after adopting a dog from DAS. We brought home a new dog Obie to add to our pack. His behaviors were getting more extreme every day. After a few months of Obie constantly barking at the other dogs and not getting along with our other dogs. We felt defeated! We were playing the dog shuffle in our house so we wouldn’t have a dog fight! It was out of control. We knew if we tried to find another home for Obie it would set him back or even cause him to be brought back to DAS. He was there for 6 months before we got him. Adam was recommend by someone we know. Adam was very thorough with talking with us about dog behaviors. He understood what we were going through. We decided to send Obie to Off The Leash Academy. It was a hard thing to do emotionally. Adam allowed us to come weekly and he worked with us and Obie. Each week we went back we could see the bond he had with Adam and his obedience was improving. We received picture and updates when Obie started playing with other dogs. This gave us such joy and hope. Obie has been home with us for 6 weeks now. He is doing amazing! If we need any help with Obie, Adam is only a call away .

We started our dog Maya with Adam and Melissa when she was 4 months old with a few private hourly lessons. When she was 7 months, they took her for about 4 weeks into their home for boarded training and she was a changed puppy! We have two young children and having a well-behaved dog was very important for us not to add to the chaos at home. We were very pleased with the progress made and Adam even did a home visit a few months later to make sure Maya was maintaining good behavior. They are very dedicated and seem to enjoy what they do. I cannot say enough about Adam & Melissa. I have two great dane puppies that started to get out of hand quickly. I was afraid that very large dogs were going to be unruly fast! I researched different training facilities in our area and had a consult with Adam. When Stella & Louise went for training I was a wreck. Adam communicated often with updates and my husband and I visited once a week. We are thrilled with their progress. I have house broken, calmer and more attentive puppies. Still puppies that love each other a bit too much but 100% better than when they went to him. I highly recommend Adam and his team!
