“After a bad hailstorm, my insurance company sent out a roofing company (not APC) that replaced a handful of shingles on different parts of the roof with mismatched ones. It looked terrible, and the job was clearly unprofessional. The next day, David Velez from APC was in my neighborhood going door-to-door and I explained what happened when he rang my doorbell. He offered to take a look at the roof and see how bad the damage was. I thanked him and explained that the insurance company wouldn’t allow me to choose the contractor, so there was probably nothing he could do to get the job. He went up anyway on one of the hottest days of the summer and spent more time inspecting everything than the adjuster and the insurance’s preferred contractor combined.

After coming down, he showed me pictures not only of the shoddy repair job from the other company, but of many additional hail-damaged areas that weren’t repaired, and said the whole roof should have been replaced. He thought he might have a way to get the insurance company to replace the roof and let me hire APC to do it. He prepared a report on the condition of my roof, and he and APC pressed the insurance company for about a week, keeping me up-to-date the entire time. I’d seen houses in my neighborhood with the APC sign out front and their new roofs looked amazing, so I was really hoping not only for a roof replacement to correct the initial job, but for APC to handle it. The insurance company did not budge and APC had to walk away, but David encouraged me to keep trying and even sent me the report he prepared so I could escalate things. At this point, there was hardly anything in it for him or his company, but he was kind enough to help even when it wasn’t to his benefit.

I was eventually able to have the insurance company agree to a replacement after some additional follow-up and documentation, though they would not budge on letting me hire APC. Even though they weren’t able to replace my roof, I would happily hire and recommend APC for any future work. David and the company were highly professional, and the roofs on my neighbors’ houses that were replaced by APC look great!“

“I had an excellent experience with Rudy. He came out on short notice to take a look at a leak we were having, promptly provided an estimate, and was able to start the job quickly thereafter. The repair ended up being a bigger issue than initially expected, and his crew worked hard over 3 separate days on a holiday weekend to get it done right. (And, Rudy kept the overage costs more than reasonable.) All around great experience and for sure a company we'll use whenever we have to do a full-on roof replacement.“

“I've had horrific experiences with way too many roofing companies over the entire eight years I've owned my home so I'm very critical and untrusting. For the past two months I've been shopping for a roofing company to reroof my (now leaking once again) flat roof house (in Orlando). Interviewed eight companies, all of them told me something different, most of them are way far out of my price range, with a handful of them not appearing interested enough in working with me to either not even call me back after the first review or not be willing to negotiate on the best option for me that fits in my price range. Mind you, I have a flat roof house, nothing special about it other than it's flat..very flat and ponds like the YMCA swimming pool! From the first interview with Danny from RCS, I felt this guy was being straight up with me, was interested in my business, and also interested in helping me with my roof. I've hammered him with multiple emails trying to get the best deal I can get and to understand the products and the work plan he'd designed for me. He's been extremely patient and kind and always responds pretty quickly to all of my inquiries. A week ago before I'd finalized my decision to go with RCS, my roof leaking nightmare started all over again. I sent Danny a txt msg, probably well after 5pm, to ask him what I should do (again because he's the only one of these jokers I felt would respond to me). He responded immediately and (with no contract yet), was very kind and then sent his guys over the next day to help me. I signed the contract the next morning. Since that time, Danny's continued to help me with every question and always follows up with me immediately. Hurricane season has come in like gangbusters. With that my roof is struggling while supplies and permit orders are in process. Again yesterday after the 2.10" per hour downpour, the leaks became worse (and more). Again I sent Danny another panic txt msg. He immediately notified me that he would be sending his guys out the next morning to help me. Within twenty min of our conversation, one of his field guys was calling me to confirm times for the next morning. Those guys were at my house exactly on time and instead of just throwing a tarp up there, they spent time drying the roof off, talked back and forth with Danny, and went out and bought another sealant and closed the seams back up on my roof to hold me til the products for the reroof come in. These guys didn't have to do any of this side work for me, but they did. I am extremely thankful that I found the RCS folks....thanks Greg for giving me Danny's info, I might have gotten the best of your roofing contacts! The work on my roof should (hopefully) start next week. I'll post again when the work is done, but I'm pretty confident I picked the right guys this time! Thanks RCS!“
