“My dad has been at Viera for about a month now. I live in Washington and needed to quickly find him a place to live after his health declined and he was no longer able to care for himself. My sister lives near Orlando but was no help in this search, so I had to search for a facility over the internet and phone, which felt so risky to me. I called around and spoke to about a dozen facilities and received basic information but without actually being physically present it felt like a gamble. I decided on Viera based on reviews and website. I was still very nervous moving my dad to a place sight unseen. However that anxiety was quickly relieved as soon as I started speaking with Tracey, the "public relations person" (can't remember her position title at the moment). I immediately knew this would be different than the other places. I explained my situation and how nervous I am about moving my dad. She immediately suggested that we FaceTime so she could give me a tour of Viera. Wow! I hadn't thought of that and what a relief! She took her time with me and answered all of my questions and even introduced me to some staff during our virtual tour. Tracey is warm, friendly and funny. My dad has been there for almost a month now and he absolutely loves his new home and Tracey - he talks about her every time we speak. She calls him "Skippy" and he loves that. I am so lucky to have landed my dad in a facility where he is loved and cared for.“
