After 2 months of waiting, Tom from the Handyman Company showed up and provided a fair estimate that was well under what the other company estimated because Tom explained that the issue was not what the other contractor claimed. Tom was here for the job the same week. Very satisfied with the work and he explained the “why, how, and cause of the issue”. “They repaired an antique piano chair I bought (1890s to early 1900s). The base was separating, the legs were separating from the base, and the adjustable/swivel seat was stuck so it didn't work. They picked the chair up and had it back to me in working order in a day. I didn't do a full restoration since I like some of the wear on the chair from age, but I'm so happy with the repair work they did to get the chair usable.“
