I was on Marco Island for a two week vacation in August and hurt my back moving a wave runner stuck on the beach. A day after hurting my back I began having terrible back spasms. I have a Chiropractor that I see regularly in Connecticut but I knew I needed help before I could even think about getting on a plane for a long flight home. I called Dr Stephenson's office and spoke to the receptionist and told her my story, she told me to come down right away. Stay away. On vacation and had neck pain and needed to see a chiropractor. Took my insurance and saw doctor. Asked me questions for 3 minutes and did an adjustment on my neck. As I'm leaving receptionist tells me I owe $110 exam fee Medicare does not pay. So I pay it. I get home and realize charge is outrageous. I call office, I believe his wife tells a me he did a thorough neurological exam (bs) and has a 2 page report. She has submitted to Medicare but in 23 years has never seen them pay exam fee. I tell her she should have told me of fee before I saw doctor since she knew insurance would not pay. She is rude, condescending, belligerent. When I told her I would... read full review
