I had a wonderful experience at the spa! Jessica was amazing—so friendly, professional, and attentive throughout my entire pedicure. From the moment I arrived, the service was exceptional and made me feel completely relaxed and pampered.
One of my favorite parts was being able to enjoy the beautiful relaxation room before and after my treatment. It created such a peaceful atmosphere and made the experience feel extra special. My pedicure was done with great care, and Jessica made sure I was comfortable from start to finish. I left feeling refreshed & relaxed!!

I rarely leave negative reviews, especially about Disney, because I am an Annual Passholder, a longtime Disney fan, and someone who genuinely believes Disney usually gets hospitality and service recovery right. Unfortunately, this experience at the Grand Floridian spa left me deeply disappointed.

I booked a manicure while visiting Disney to relax and celebrate a special occasion. Instead of leaving relaxed, I left emotionally unsettled.

During the service, the technician repeatedly discussed deeply personal and emotionally heavy topics, including detailed conversations about the deaths of family members and comments regarding her daughter’s relationship that made me extremely uncomfortable. There is a major difference between light conversation during a spa treatment and being subjected to distressing personal discussions during what is supposed to be a peaceful luxury experience. I kept trying to redirect the conversation, but it kept turning back into personal details about distressing life events

When I checked out, I explained what had happened to the two Cast Members at the front desk, and they called for a manager. A tall gentleman from Philadelphia, whose name I unfortunately do not remember, came out and asked me to step outside so the technician would not overhear the conversation.

I explained how distressed and uncomfortable I felt, and although he listened, his response was essentially, “But you were happy with the overall service? The service was provided?” It completely missed the point. Relaxation and comfort are part of the service at a luxury spa. I left feeling emotionally drained and uncomfortable, including having to walk back in and awkwardly acknowledge the technician again while paying.

I was surprised to still be charged full price after explaining how upsetting the experience had been. One of the Cast Members behind the counter handed me what was essentially a tiny one-inch packet of bath salts, saying, “Here, you can have an extra pouch of bath salts.” Honestly, the moment felt almost comical considering how upset I was.

About 20 minutes later, I received a phone call from the manager apologizing for “any confusion” and informing me that he would apply a 20% discount, which amounted to roughly $16. I explained that I did not feel this reflected the experience at all and that I was still visibly upset walking to dinner afterward. I told him I would likely escalate the matter to Guest Relations, and the conversation essentially ended there.

The situation bothered me enough that the next day I went to the front desk at the Grand Floridian Hotel itself to speak with someone further. That is when I met Cierra, a team lead, who was the only Cast Member throughout this entire situation who truly seemed empathetic and understanding. She assured me the situation would be passed along and that someone from the spa would contact me right away. Unfortunately, no one ever did.

As someone who works in hospitality, I understand that uncomfortable situations can happen anywhere. What matters most is the service recovery afterward, and that is where this experience failed the most for me.

I had also contacted Disney Guest Relations directly and received what felt like a very generic acknowledgment email without any meaningful resolution or follow-up.

I have always associated Disney and the Grand Floridian with exceptional hospitality and guest care, which is why this experience was so surprising and disappointing. Sadly, the lack of empathy and follow-through afterward left a stronger impression on me than the original uncomfortable experience itself.

So I am mixed here. The services were top notch. The personnel greeting me in the lobby, and the wet room were quite personable and sweet. My massage therapist did a great job, and I am feeling physically better. That being said, they (the MT) were very robotic personality wise. Like, very scripted, not very personable. They did a phenomenal job on my body, but just felt like they were just on autopilot, which really messes with the vibe of a chill environment. It left it as less of a fun experience.

We were greeted by the spa receptionist with an abrupt and rude remark about why we arrived earlier than the recommended 30 minute prior to a spa service. I quickly realized why I was greeted with such negativity, the spa facility was not cared for properly--the jacuzzi was luke warm with no jets working, both of the heated loungers were not operating, the waiting lounge offered cold water to make hot tea. The spa chose not to notify me, with no prior call or communication at check-in, that most of the facilities were not operating.
I have shared with both family and friends that the Disney spa can no longer be considered a reputable or professional business to engage with.

I had the best massage at the Grand Floridian Spa! Stephanie was my massage therapist and she was incredible. She was so kind, attentive, and made me feel comfortable the entire time. She really listened to what I needed and focused on the areas I asked for, which made such a difference. I left feeling so relaxed and taken care of. I will definitely be back!

I would give this place six stars if I could. That is mostly based on my service, which was a 50 minute hot stone massage with Andersen. This massage was so much more than just a massage. It was a journey of relaxation. The massage tables are the kind that electronically conform to you, which is so nice. The relaxation room does not have a large variety of offerings, but they offer banana chips, nuts, water, and tea. There’s a hot tub and steam room that you can use and the chairs in the relaxation room are very comfortable. There are lockers and two showers. Will definitely return here next time I’m at a Magic Kingdom resort.

Deklan really needs to realize that he is a spa host, not a process server. He is super-caffeinated, hyperactive, distracting, and not at all relaxing to be around. I feel processed, not valued. Despite several requests to slow down, he still rotely and unenthusiastically read the script at hyperspeed. Rushed, pushed and ejected. Do better!

I am so sorry to report that there are not enough stars that these folks deserve. As I walked in I was immediately greated with warm smiles and thoughtful hellos. A wonderdul young man showed me around the spa. He lead me to the locker room and then stepped out so that could dis-robe and wrap myself in a very luxurious warm robe and sandals. Then you enter back in a relaxation room where the spa teated me with light snacks, water and hot tea. After I got relaxed for a few moments my technician Julie entered the room and went over everything thay she be working on and asked if there were any areas that needed more worked than others. I have been having lower back problems and have been to rehab for awhile now, with no luck unfortunately. Julie nailed it!!! Everything she did was done with dignity and politeness. I could go on about this lady and her magical hands in this magical place. This spa is a must do if it is on your end of life bucket list. It was worth the money and I so wish I could do this again before I leave this world. What I didnt mention to Julie is that I have a terminal illness, cirrhosis of the liver and may not be around much longer, but Julie made this old man feel young and vibrant before I pass on.

Thank you for this most memorble moment
