They had a last minute appointment available for our dog on a Saturday. It was super important to get in then or early the next week and they made it happen. Wonderful staff and the Doc is knowledgeable and helped me with choices for heartworm preventative medicines and testing, a strained knee and an inflammation issue for my dog. Thank you so much!

Highly recommend. I just left Shewmaker Animal Hospital on a Saturday and was very impressed. It was my first time seeing Dr. Shewmaker Jr. I was a regular client of his late father's. I found him to be very honest and ethical. He puts the animals' welfare first. He doesn't recommend unnecessary tests or anything like that. Taylor is an outstanding Veterinary Tech. She has a way with animals that makes them feel calm. She also explains things very well clearly. You can tell her compassion for animals is real. It's not just a job for her. Thanks u guys Rebeca G

They did a really good job. Only complaint I have is they freaked my dog out when they were holding him still for everything, and would not let me or my husband help keep him calm. That in turn scared our dog, but they were very friendly and knowledgeable.
