I wish I read the lowest reviews before booking my appointment. My experience with this office has been awful and traumatic.

TLDR: Find a different office to address your allergy needs. This office will gaslight, shift blame, and retaliate against you for the sake of money.

On 11/10/25 I did allergy testing at this office w/ Watkins. The following occurred:

    • they were 20 mins late taking me back
    • Incorrectly administered test which resulted in staff re-doing the prick on my other arm and then giving me multiple subdermal shots that gave me a severe reaction that I had to sit through for over an hour.
    • Did not even follow up at the end of appt and provide me with a patient plan after I waited 25 mins. I had to leave to make it to another commitment. They did not advise me of the side effects of the testing which I would start to experience the following days.

I’m grateful I didn’t go into anaphylactic shock considering how absent they were. I had to go into the hallway and find someone to help me.

    • 11/18: I contact my pcp about hand swelling and bumps in the arm they administered the shots that started 2 days after the shots. I had an appt with him on 11/21 & He ordered X-rays to rule out arthritis. The cream he provided made the rash and swelling on my hand worse (since it wasn’t arthritis). The only thing that helped was Benadryl.

    • 1/26/26: Jennifer Murphy scheduled me a follow up appointment due to the symptoms returning after eating a food. Upon reviewing my hand, NP Nicole Garcia proceeded to tell me she didn’t know what it was but would get the Dr. to look. Dr. Watkins proceeded to tell me that the itchy bumps, swelling, and skin peeling on my right hand was not allergy related but a BLOOD CLOT and autoimmune. She proceeded to tell me that I will need to seek medical help from someone else since my symptoms were not allergy related.

    • 1/27/26: I followed up with my pcp as a result of the anxiety I experienced from Nicole Garcia and Racquel Watkins’ diagnosis. He looked at my hand and immediately knew it was eczema. I told him I experienced the symptoms short after eating oatmeal. He prescribed me ointment and zyrtec to help relieve the symptoms. I experienced significant improvement once I was correctly diagnosed and received the proper treatment.

I contacted Jennifer Murphy about the incorrect diagnosis I received at Watkins’ office and she told me that it wasn’t incorrect. I contacted my insurance who was able to see the completely different cpt codes provided by my pcp and Watkins regarding my symptoms. How is it possible to come up with completely different diagnoses 1 day apart after reviewing the same symptoms?

I’ve officially received a letter from Watkins office stating that it was my fault and that I failed to comply with the doctor’s recommendations. However the doctor’s recommendation was to seek medical attention from another doctor for a blood clot and autoimmune disease. I did comply — they just lied.

The experience I had at this office was nothing short of malicious. They refuse to take accountability for the harm they caused me physically, emotionally, and financially (try working with your dominant hand swollen, itchy, and peeling). In fact, they resorted to victim blaming.

I’m grateful I have the evidence from my PCP’s notes that validate my experience and the misdiagnosis I received from Nicole Garcia and Racquel Watkins. Otherwise they would get away with the harm they caused me. I am writing this in depth because they continue to be dishonest.

The people overseeing the allergy department of Borland and groover need to do better.

Dr. Watkins is hands down one of the best doctors I’ve ever been to. I came to her desperate for help with postpartum hives that my OB and PCP were unable to help me with. She was so thorough, compassionate, and knowledgeable on what needed to be done to support me. I wish all doctors practiced the way Dr. Watkins does!

I went for a patch test January. I was not sure what to expect. I was not told it could be severe reactions. I did not know anything and never been tested. Febuary 2025 i have had the worst ever reactions and i have been to ER twice. It is now end a month and I am miserable with not just a rash on my hands all over my body. I need to know what is in that test this is horrible. I am in need of some answers . I should not have to keep paying for something causing me worst reactions than i had in the start of the services.

I went to see Dr. Watkins and her team in August. I was so happy with my visit, even though they didn’t find the cause of my allergies. The Doctor was knowledgeable, and caring and the nurses were caring as well. I paid around $600 with my insurance and that’s ok with me. I wanted to know why I have rashes and allergic reactions to some medications. All the tests came back negative. I decided to do more testing with patches and I was told by the women at the front desk that it will cost me around $220 next time I come. I signed the paper where she put all the calculations and I made 3 appointments with them. I was so exited to finally find out what I’m allergic to. My next visit was on October 14. I went there and the same woman from the front desk gave me paperwork with charges totaling almost $600 to pay for the tests. I was shocked. I asked her - what happened to $220 that you told me and shows on my paperwork? She said I don’t know who told you that. I said-you did and showed her my paperwork. She said that because I have a deductible now, I have to pay $600. So, 2 months ago I didn’t have it?! It’s ridiculous! If I would have known that I have to pay $600 more, I would never have made the appointment and wouldn’t have spent my time for nothing! Please, make sure that your employees know their job, and give your patients accurate information, so they can make an informed choice for care.

I’ve been going there for a while and have only had positive experience. Just took my daughter there too for some allergy testing and both the nurse and Dr. Watkins were so kind to her. They were friendly, joyful, and explained everything patiently. My daughter said this has been the best doctor’s office she’s ever been to. And she’s been to a lot!
