Friendly staff, kinda wish they had magazines in the waiting area though

3rd floor, get off the elevator and make a right. Parking free in a lot but limited. Check in was fast and easy. I'll let you know how it goes. This is my first time here. PA was very nice. Not sure why 2 people had to be present during my skin cancer screening. It's bad enough being almost nude, but other than that it was a good experience and I will come back.

I wish I could leave a good review but I just can’t. It’s really difficult to schedule with them. I asked to get out on a cancellation list and was told “it’s long” so I need to keep calling back.

I started going to the office years ago after finally being diagnosed with Psoriatic Arthritis & started breaking out with Psoriasis on my scalp. I came her specifically for Dr. Stewart because she had such a high rating at the time. I think I only saw her 1 or 2 times & then it became impossible to get an appointment with her that wasn’t months out. Every appointment it felt like I was seeing a different PA or NP.
The last time I saw them I no longer had insurance so I asked for an estimate for the procedure or allergy testing they were going to do. I was told they couldn’t give me one because they didn’t know what all was going to be done during the visit. I told them what was going to be done but they still refused to give me an estimate on that part only. Never went back because I didn’t know if I could afford it or not.

Called to make an appointment for my daughter and it was the most unprofessional experience I’ve ever had with a medical office. The woman in the phone was short, condescending and inpatient. She wouldn’t allow me to get more than two words out before talking over me. We all have bad days, but it shouldn’t be felt by the person you’re supposed to be helping. Needless to say I’m taking my business elsewhere. Also I work as a referral coordinator for primary care and will not refer patients to this practice to receive such “care”.

If you can't book 60 days or greater in advance you should look elsewhere.
I've been to this practice a handful of times since moving to Jacksonville approximately a year ago. My experience and actual care here had been very good. The practice has taken on too many patients however, and appointments cannot be booked less than 2 months out. Unfortunately for me, I work irregular hours/days, don't get my schedule that far in advance, and I have not been lucky enough for an appointment date to randomly line up with my days off and I've already delayed care long enough for this reason. The scheduling personnel aren't able to help. I'm being pushed to find another provider I can actually get scheduled with. Although the care is good, it's irrelevant if one is unable to schedule care.

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Carstens for several years and always feel completely at ease in her care. She is warm, welcoming, and consistently treats me with respect, especially during exams. She takes the time to thoroughly answer any questions I have, which I truly appreciate. I don’t typically enjoy going to the doctor, but she is truly exceptional. Her medical assistant is also very pleasant, and the front desk staff is efficient and well organized. If a line starts to form, additional staff step in quickly to keep things moving.

So much for being seen as a new patient, even though they claim to be accepting new patients. They may want to update that statement if they’re booked out until August. The woman on the phone was short and rude, and honestly, that attitude alone is enough to make me look elsewhere. I’m surprised they’re still in business. Customer service matters, and your office staff should be trained accordingly. Never forget that the people who come to your practice are your customers. Do better.
