Dr. Gulani has a heart of gold. Not only is he a phenomenal ophthalmologist but at the same time he really is what a doctor should be, a caring human who understands his patients' pain and doesn't try to brush off the complexities that they've been carrying almost their whole lives and being told by doctor after doctor that nothing can be done.
I myself had an ICL surgery done by another doctor, and after the surgery I started seeing halos and glare at night, even my daytime vision got fuzzy and I felt like I needed glasses again. After a unsuccessful procedures and care form a retinal specialist. I found Dr. Gulani and gave me a hope which is something that I haven’t had for years. Dr. Gulani restored the vision in my left eye and im still amazed that I’m actually able to see out of that eye again. A few weeks later Dr. Gulani operated on my right eye and I now have 20/20 vision Dr. Gulani has personally seen to my care and recuperation checking and personally after both procedures, to see how I was doing. I came to Dr Gulani after a history of RK surgeries and a recent botched laser procedure by another surgeon which left my right eye blind and in great pain. Dr. Gulani helped me with both vision and pain when no other physician could, including saving me from a corneal transplant. Dr Gulani combines both caring and expertise like no other.
Update: it’s been over a year post surgery. I have no eye pain (it was terrible before Dr Gulani) and my vision is holding at 20/25 (it was worse than 20/100 before Dr Gulani). I’m so pleased we are now proceeding with my other eye!
