I scheduled an appointment for 12 I arrive and there nobody in the building. I texted Mariam and she said her employees went to get food and would be back in ten minutes. I said that’s unacceptable if I made an appointment for 12 then that’s the time I expect to be in the chair. I don’t care if your staff wanted to get food that should be done BEFORE my appointment considering I paid a $25 deposit to book my spot. Mariam said on the phone “things happen, what do you want me to do about it? They were hungry so they all left to get food quickly. Also one of my employees is a picky eater so it took longer to get her order right at the restaurant. Also we thought your appointment was at 12:30. They can’t stop braiding to eat so they are fine for eating now, if you are mad you can reschedule because I don’t want you to bring negative energy.” I told her I wasn’t mad I just need to know what time they’ll be here because it’s been almost an hour of me waiting. 12:30 I’m still waiting and they don’t arrive until 12:45 holding their food and snickering.
Reluctantly I sit in the chair and the ladies ask what I wanted and I said 8 stitch braids. They say ok $120. However on the website it says the price is $100 with no add ons, and I was unhappy about this. I ask where the extra charge comes from and they call Mariam who says “yeah that style was always $120, if you want you hair done it’ll be $120”. I said you can’t change the price after I get here and not tell me why. I called her a liar as I have a screenshot of my booking confirmation with the price. It says 100 and up which means if I get anything more than the regular style then there’s an extra charge but I just wanted the style the way it came! I came washed and blow dried too. I asked what the extra $20 is for because I need to know why I’m paying more for the hairstyle with no add ons. I said if she could tell me why the price went up then I’d be understanding. Then Mariam says on the phone that “ I am tired of arguing with you we been arguing all day do you want your hair done or not it’s $100 and up can’t you read? so that means the price is $120 you will pay or I’ll refund your deposit you are very difficult. The price was always $120 if you want to pay $100 then get 6 braids.” I’m sure she added the $20 because they didn’t want me there after them being late and me being unhappy about it. They literally just make up prices as they go! I didn’t like being lied to and have my time disregarded. I didn’t get my hair braided so I left. I felt terrible when I left the shop and I wasted a drive to a place like that. I dodged a bullet hopefully y'all do too.

I was serviced with this company on Saturday (08/11) and felt extremely uncomfortable. The first red flag, was I texted Mariam that I was interested in the Medium Knotless and she informed me that it was okay to come at 4PMEST via phone. I came at 4PMEST and it was somewhere still sitting in the chairs— I had to wait 8 additional hours to get serviced. By the time I was serviced it was 12 midnight, and we didn’t get done until 4ish. Close to 5am. Very unprofessional! I also, felt very uncomfortable as I do, have a small hearing problem and it seem as though, the braiders was laughing among themselves. Also. I was quoted $240 when I left I paid $280. My braids was supposed to be medium. They made them SMALL. I was SCAMMED. Also, they was my first time going to this place and I asked for the prefer method of payment via text Mariam never responded, however — when I asked what payment is used they informed me only CASH and ZELLE. So, I had to call my mother to Zelle them! They constantly made fun of me! And — this is the worst and last experience I would have with Marian, and TRUST I will be writing a review on ALL PLATFORMS!

EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED!!!! This was the Worst braiding service experience I have ever had! A little background, I can no longer do synthetic hair as I now have an allergic reaction to it. Three months ago my braider did my first experience with human knotless boho braids. I fall in love with the style. She moved to Maryland so I began the search for a new braider. I came across this facility on Instagram. The photos posted and the website had me thinking this was a good business to try. I was able to book online which was nice and also quoted the time of four hours online however there are no prices listed! I had to reach out by phone since my question on the booking was not answered. With me providing the human hair I was still quoted $250 for mid back medium knotless boho braids. The only payment method is cash. I arrived at the facility and was surprised how crowded and packed they were. There were two rows of braiders on each side at one point about 12-14 braiders and women sitting in pop up chairs to get as many people in as possible. I showed the hair to Sheri when I arrived to make sure it was enough hair to complete the requested hair style. I was assured it was good, she asked me to give her a few minutes before they could begin my hair. They were scrambling to figure out who could do my hair. I was originally told one person would do the back and another would finish. They added a chair by the front door to do my hair. Sitting there I saw Cheri ask people with appointments to come back later as they are too busy now. I couldn't see the progress of my hair, I did ask her though when I saw separating hair that she is doing medium size. She assured me that they were. After working on my head a bit she told me she has to stop my head and complete another customer's head and will come back to me. She said 30 minutes was actually an hour. I was moved to one of the permanent chairs after she finished the other person's braids. At this point being more than 1/2 way through my hair she showed me a mirror and asked if I liked it. It was NOT at all what I wanted but it was now 5:30pm and I was supposed to be done an hour ago it was smaller and shorter than I wanted. So I make the conscious decision to have her keep going as I don't have the time to have them start over or walk out with 1/2 a head done. Meanwhile the lady behind me was furious. She said she had been there since 9AM and drove down from GA. She wanted Cheri to finish her hair as she originally stated she would. For a while she sat there and waited for Cheri for Cheri to come from the back and start working on someone's head and she eventually got up to leave this is when Cheri went to speak to her. It turned into an argument outside, both of them yelling at each other. The lady braiding my hair went to get Cheri to come back in the building. When Cheri did she was speaking loudly and speaking negatively about the customer who left saying she didn't want to pay from the beginning. My hair was stopped on two more occasions one for her to help another braid dip braids and the last one when the upset customer came back and Cheri for a second time went outside to confront the customer. Another customer at this point called the police for safety. Two other braiders were able to get Cheri back into the building. They then locked the door just in case this lady came back. My hair was completed by 8:15pm!!! I was there for 8 hours and 15 minutes. I will admit I did not closely inspect my braids as I truly just wanted to get out as I was Hungry and a bit worried the angry customer may show up again. The police showed up as I was leaving. When I got home I found it difficult to maneuver my braids around and noticed that I could see my own hair through the braids. What the braider did to "make it work" was cut the human hair in half instead of telling me more hair was needed. With that though she kept the curly strands at 22"!!!! So I have braids that are 14" and added curly hair pieces at 22"! What makes this SO CR

My experience was absolutely not the best. Ms. Mariam was not present and I will say she attempted to accommodate me.

I asked for boho box braids. I noticed halfway through that they were only adding curls to the ends which was definitely not worth the extra money. I messaged Ms. Mariam and she called and told them to crochet the extra hair in....

Also to add I went in to get braids over my already established locs.

They were quick (maybe 3 hours) however they used nail glue to secure the hair they left out which I did not notice until after the fact. I did make Ms. Mariam aware and she told me to come back in for them to get it out. I absolutely did not because in no way is it ever okay to put nail glue in someone's hair.. and I did not want the ppl who damaged my hair to damage it further.... putting glue on the weave maybe but every single one of my locs has glue in it. My loctician did try to get it out unfortunately several of my locs have been ruined and are hard.

I think the ladies in the shop need to be trained on hair if they are going to do it.

Curls were falling out 3 days in and the braids only lasted 5 weeks which they were suppose to last 2-3 months and yes I did tie down my hair every night.

I personally will never return due to this experience however Ms. Mariam is really nice

Service was great! Professional, fast, and very pleasant ladies that definitely do what needs to be done. Will continue to come back!
